Technology and Instructional Coach (2019 – PRESENT)

The Technology & Instructional Coachfocuses on the meaningful integration of technology, student agency and making into the daily learning experiences of our students and the teaching practices of faculty. The y act as a master collaborator, inspirational leader and skilled facilitator for students, staff and parents and is responsible for managing, organizing and facilitating the effective utilization and integration of technology in the classroom.   

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:  

  • Attend subject area unit planning meetings to increase the level of student agency, making, and the use of technology in learning.  
  • Model lessons and provide in-class coaching to teachers  to  increase  student agency,  technology integration and making in lessons.   
  • Provide professional development opportunities
  • Increase student making in the curriculum at each grade level as measured by the number of units that involve making in any form.    
  • Support the IB coordinators to ensure units reflect the new MYP and PYP Standards and Practices that promote greater student voice, choice and agency in units.  
  • Support teachers in the development of interdisciplinary units.    
  • Works collaboratively with the IT Technician, the Learning Technologies Team, and with teachers and colleagues across the School.
